About the Opportunity
SAAF Education is a leading provider of education services for students with special educational needs. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering individualized support to students with emotional and mental health needs, maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment, and collaborating with teachers to develop strategies for students with behavioral issues.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored support to students with special educational needs, including those with behavioral challenges
- Maintain a secure and well-organized learning environment
- Work closely with teaching staff to devise effective strategies for students with challenging behaviors
- Provide administrative assistance and contribute to learning activities
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a SEN setting, preferably with students who require additional support
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A firm but caring approach, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues
- Qualification as a Teaching Assistant or equivalent
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for supporting students with special educational needs. An Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding clearance are mandatory requirements for this role.
Estimated Salary: £29,000 - £39,000 per annum, dependent on experience
