Exciting Opportunity for Experienced Professionals

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated B1 Engineer to join our team at a well-respected MRO in South Wales. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians and mechanics in all aspects of base maintenance checks. Your expertise in aircraft systems, including rigging, component replacement, and modification embodiment, will be invaluable in ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and mentor a team of technicians and mechanics in base maintenance checks.
  2. Ensure accurate completion of paperwork and forms as required by company procedures.
  3. Communicate effectively with the Bay Manager and Production Planners to ensure maintenance requirements are met.
  4. Verify that all maintenance documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  5. Allocate correct timings to tasks and ensure accurate bookings on task cards.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 5 years' experience in aircraft maintenance, with 3 years in base maintenance.
  2. Ability to use recognized aircraft documentation.
  3. Demonstrated expertise in aircraft systems, including rigging, component replacement, and modification embodiment.
  4. Good structural assessment and repair knowledge.
  5. Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of aircraft systems.
  6. Hold a valid B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence, issued by the UK CAA or EASA.
