About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant for our Café situated in a beautiful market town. The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to run a busy breakfast and lunch kitchen, supporting the Shop Retail Team on duty by ensuring that takeaway and table service food prepared on site is produced on a timely basis and in accordance with the Company's expected requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Ensure takeaway and table service products are consistently prepared in accordance with Company guidelines and to expected timelines.
  • Product Presentation: All takeaway and table service products should look best in class, fully stocked with an excellent range of top-quality products.
  • Customer Feedback and Menu Development: React to customer feedback and proactively suggest and develop special menu items with the support of your Manager.
  • Compliance and Safety: Demonstrate an understanding of compliance with regards to all legislation regarding Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Food Safety, and Licensing laws as well as any local legislation.
Experience and Skills Needed
  • Relevant Experience: Candidates will preferably have some relevant experience in catering, food preparation, and/or customer service.
  • Attitude and Skills: Have an enthusiastic attitude with a positive 'can-do' attitude and a passion for delivering great food and exceptional service.
