Job Title: Adult Psychiatry Consultant

The successful candidate will be a Consultant Psychiatrist to the Greenwich East Anxiety, Depression, Personality Disorders and Trauma Team (ADAPT) with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. The ADAPT Pathway provides focused, therapeutic interventions to adults residing within the Greenwich Borough who require care and treatment for anxiety, depression, affective disorders (without psychosis), personality disorders, and trauma.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide medical leadership to the ADAPT team, ensuring effective care pathways and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that promote patient choice and involvement.
  • Ensure timely and effective review of patient care, modifying plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
Person Specification:
  • GMC Registration: Current registration with a valid registration number.
  • Section 12 Registration: Current registration with a valid registration number for Section 12.
  • Experience: Proven experience in General Adult Psychiatry, with a focus on anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and trauma.
  • Teaching Experience: Experience in teaching and training, with a focus on mental health and wellbeing.
Selection Criteria:
  • Relevant clinical experience and expertise in General Adult Psychiatry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
