Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be accountable for a small team of Facilities Team Members, ensuring a well-maintained, safe, secure, compliant, and efficient environment in our property management settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to build and develop a motivated, engaged, and high-performance team, focusing on performance management conversations and personal development plans.
  • Take accountability for your team's performance, actively participating in performance management discussions and setting targets.
  • Assume Facilities Team Member duties when the Facilities Manager is unavailable.
  • Ensure compliance checks are conducted correctly and on time.
  • Provide general maintenance assistance across our student properties, including taking deliveries, moving furniture, and maintaining grounds.
  • Solve various basic maintenance issues with a can-do attitude, addressing tasks such as fixing doors, painting walls, cleaning courtyards, or replacing light bulbs.
  • Collaborate with the facilities engineering team to maintain our properties in excellent condition.
  • Conduct regular building checks to ensure our buildings are clean, safe, and secure.
  • Support routine team activities, including delegating tasks and setting targets.
  • Take ownership of your team's responsiveness in resolving students' problems.
  • Contribute to delivering our sustainability strategies, providing net-zero carbon accommodation and creating resilient, resource-efficient assets.

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
