Austin Fraser seeks an experienced Security Architecture Lead to drive the evolution of security architecture within their organisation. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of data in a demanding environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering effective security architecture in high-security environments, with experience in technology governance and programme management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the definition of security requirements and design as part of a strength-in-depth approach to solution design across data, application, and infrastructure architecture.
  • Develop and implement cyber security patterns, policies, and standards to shape solution design.
  • Drive the evolution of security automation and tooling.
  • Design solutions operating at document marking above Official.
  • Foster new approaches to cyber security and represent Security Architecture in technology governance.
  • Collaborate with national policing and central government agencies on broader cyber security initiatives and challenges.
  • Engage with the entire Enterprise Architecture team to provide consistent design and governance, under the direction of the Head of Cyber Security.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience delivering effective security architecture in high-security environments such as policing, central government, defence, or finance.
  • Familiarity with best practice approaches, methods, and techniques for information security, with several years of relevant experience, including in public sector environments.
  • Experience in technology governance, capable of running governance forums and guiding programmes to compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a specialist team, promoting diversity and inclusion within an enterprise setting.
  • Experience in managing cyber security in a multi-supplier environment.
  • Leadership experience and a proven track record in planning and delivering security enterprise architecture within the Architecture domain.

This role requires a Vetting Clearance level of SC. The salary for this position is approximately £630-£720 per day, depending on experience.
