Senior Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology

About the Role
Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Clinical Fellow to join the Gastroenterology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist care to patients, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting consultants in outpatient clinics and wards
- Participation in the Middle Grade on-call rota and providing cover in exceptional circumstances for colleagues' absence
- Assessment, care, and treatment of patients presenting to the specialty and referred to the specialty
- Attending clinics and assessing patients, formulating treatment decisions, and seeking advice from consultants as appropriate
- Conducting daily inpatient ward rounds under the consultant's care, supervising junior doctors in the care of these patients
- Teaching and training staff in other medical disciplines, nursing, and support staff as appropriate
- Communication with other team members as appropriate
- Participation in relevant audit and quality assurance processes
- Abiding by the Clinical & Corporate Governance policies of the Trust
- Maintaining good medical practice, professional behavior, and probity
