Student Support Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Student Support Assistant to join our team at Wye School. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a proven track record of establishing supportive relationships with students and promoting inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Support a Year 7 child with Downs Syndrome on a 1:1 basis, promoting their inclusion and well-being in the classroom and beyond.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with students, teachers, and other adults working in the school.
- Monitor and support children's learning, modifying or adapting activities as agreed with the teacher to achieve intended learning outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting respect, determination, and ambition in all students.
