We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Auditor to join our team at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies. As a Senior Auditor, you will play a key role in leading and supporting the development of initiatives aligned with our audit strategy. Your responsibilities will include gaining agreement to audit findings and follow-up of audit issues and actions in collaboration with stakeholders. You will also be responsible for delivering high-quality audits within agreed timelines and leading and supporting the implementation of best practice. Additionally, you will identify and develop improvements to the end-to-end audit process and coach and mentor team members. To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate or have experience of negotiating and collaboration, knowledge and application of modern audit and risk management techniques, and proficiency with audit techniques to address specific focus of individual audit & consultancy assignments. You will also need to engage with senior leaders to facilitate implementation of recommendations and develop a team. We are looking for a candidate with a background in a Science & Technology / Project based / regulated organisations, and who is a Chartered or Certified member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, or equivalent.
