We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Trainer to join our team at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry.
Main Responsibilities:- Teaching and Learning: Deliver high-quality training sessions that align with competencies, focusing on Mechanical Maintenance and Assembly.
- Learner Support: Provide guidance and support to learners, enabling them to progress towards successful completion of their apprenticeships and HNC programmes.
- Resource Management: Ensure the availability of physical learning resources and teaching spaces, facilitating effective training and assessment within guided learning hours.
- Content Development: Create and develop learning content for apprenticeship trailblazers' schemes-of-work, incorporating relevant existing training offers from industry partners.
- Caseload Management: Monitor and support the progress of learners, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs and ensure timely completion of their apprenticeships.
This role requires delivering high-quality electrical bias training to satisfy Awarding Body requirements and Apprenticeship Standard Duties/KSBs. You will also provide support for topics you have knowledge or experience in, ensuring smooth delivery of learning to individuals accessing MTC Training provision.
You will also develop softer skills embedded within apprenticeships.
Person Specification:
- A high level of engineering knowledge, preferably gained from several years of industrial experience.
- Evidence of knowledge in teaching methodologies.
- Industry-related qualifications such as L3 Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or Degree.
- Functional Skills Level 2 / GCSE's in Maths and English grade C or above.
- Recognised Training/Teaching Qualification.
- Internal Quality Assurance qualifications.
- An estimated salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.
