Secondary School Science Educator

A forward-thinking secondary school in Canterbury is seeking a qualified and passionate Science Teacher to join their faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and a passion for inspiring students to achieve academic excellence.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering engaging science lessons to students of all abilities, planning and preparing lesson plans in line with the national curriculum, and assessing student progress to provide constructive feedback and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach science subjects to students of varying skill levels.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the science curriculum and resources.
- PARTicipate in extra-curricular activities and school events as required.
Requirements:
- A recognised teaching qualification and relevant degree in science.
- A strong passion for teaching and inspiring students.
- Knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- DBS certificate (Enhanced Disclosure) which is on the Update Service or be prepared to get one through Academics Ltd.
Salary: Estimated salary range £40,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
