About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to join our finance team at The Sheffield College. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial expertise and support to our project managers and budget holders.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and reporting of capital spend, including leading monthly meetings with senior stakeholders
  • Dealing with all aspects of capital grant funding
  • Understanding terms for present and future grant funding agreements, including ensuring accurate and timely returns
  • Championing our commitment to putting students first
  • Exemplifying our values of Inclusivity, Diversity, and Celebrating Achievement

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in accounting and finance, preferably with experience in capital projects. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with non-financial managers. A professional accountancy qualification and experience with Excel are also desirable.

We offer a competitive package, including a 17.7% pension contribution and 25 days annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays. You will also have the opportunity to work in a commercial role within a public sector environment, with a focus on capital and presentation to management.
