We strive to provide every customer with an exceptional experience when they visit our restaurant. This means a smile serving delicious sustainably sourced fish and chips. As a team member, you'll help make our customers' fish and chip dreams come true, have fun, and be recognised for your hard work. Team members are responsible at all times for their colleagues' safety by following our health and safety procedures. They are mainly responsible for serving customers, maintaining food quality, store cleanliness, and front counter organisation. Team members are the main face for the Company, so must always maintain a high level of quality, service, and cleanliness, ensuring total customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Delivering a great customer experience
  • Assembling orders for takeaway, Click & Collect, and Delivery
  • Assisting Managers and Fryers to prepare food
  • Supporting good food hygiene practices
  • Supporting best practice for Health & Safety

At our restaurant, our journey began in the early 1920s when Great Grandpa Harold and his wife Dorothy saved all the money he earned from mining and playing amateur cricket for Accrington and moved from the north to Essex to buy their first-ever fish and chip shop. Three generations of our family later, it's safe to say we're fish and chip super geeks through and through.

We believe that nothing makes memories like fish and chips. It connects us to each other in such a special way, bringing to life moments from our childhood and beyond. We think that the buying and eating of fish and chips should be a family affair, but we don't think this should be at the expense of the environment, people, and communities.

The health of the oceans and future fish stocks is very important to us as we can only thrive as a business if the seas and oceans and fish within them continue to thrive. That's why we only source fish from sustainable fishing sources and our fresh Red Tractor Approved Shropshire Chickens are barn reared. We also recycle our waste oil into Bio Diesel and our packaging is made of recycled material and or biodegradable.
