Clyde & Co is seeking a highly skilled Information Security Assurance and Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Information Security department, you will be responsible for ensuring the firm's information security management system is compliant with international standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze proposed client engagement contracts, service level agreements, and due diligence questionnaires to ensure compliance with information security standards.
- Maintain a repository of standard information security responses and design effectiveness evidence for external audits, client assessments, and other regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the firm's certifications and information security management system are up-to-date and compliant with ISO 27001 and other relevant standards.
- Assess and recommend information security, governance, risk management, and compliance services to meet emerging client expectations and best practices.
- Collaborate with the Information Security, IT, and other departments to identify and mitigate security risks and implement effective controls.
- Conduct periodic assurance of controls to ensure design effectiveness and maturity.
- Support the team in carrying out other workloads during periods of high demand or when additional resources are required.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, to improve the delivery of services.
- Identify emerging client implications and requirements for consideration in the firm's information security frameworks, strategy, and policies.
- Stay informed about technical, industry, regulatory, and company changes and trends related to cybersecurity, the legal industry, information management, and IT efficiencies.
- Establish and report on monthly metrics and Key Performance/Risk Indicators related to client due diligence work.
- Provide education and insight to members of IT and other relevant areas on client requirements and expectations.
- Build and maintain relationships with the team and relevant members of the Risk and Client Operations departments to share best practices and ensure efficient due diligence activities.
- Proven experience in an Information Security and IT Risk Management role in a fast-paced environment, preferably within the legal industry.
- Operational knowledge of international information security standards, risk management, and control frameworks, such as ISF SOGP, ISO 27001/2, ISO 31000, IRAM 2, NIST, and cybersecurity framework.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple conflicting priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical points and present effectively to senior stakeholders and managers.
- Positive and tenacious attitude with the ability to drive initiatives forward and motivate resources within and outside the team.
