Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at Eden Brown Synergy. As a Senior OT, you will work closely with the Therapy Assistants and the Multi-Disciplinary Team to deliver group and one-to-one occupational, therapeutic, and recreational activities and interventions. The work will take place on the wards, in the hospital grounds, and in the community. The successful candidate will have good leadership and communication skills and be able to provide a high-quality service that meets the needs of individual patients.

Key responsibilities include managing members of the therapy team, overseeing service provision in various areas, and providing supervision to junior staff. The successful candidate will also be responsible for delivering a range of innovative interventions that motivate and engage individuals to improve their occupational skills and mental wellbeing. This may involve assessing, intervening, and evaluating progress in line with MDT care plans.

Qualifications required include a Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and registration with the HCPC. Experience of working in a healthcare setting and/or working with clients with mental health diagnosis or challenging behaviors for at least 2 years would be desirable. A qualification in Sensory Integration Training would also be beneficial, but training and learning opportunities will be provided. We estimate the salary for this role to be around £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
