Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and flexible Catering Assistant to join our team in Luton, United Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the kitchen staff in delivering exceptional food service.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Ensure all food items are stored correctly and handled in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment efficiently, including dishwashers and ovens.
- Contribute to stock control and restock supplies as needed.
- Participate in food waste management and recycling initiatives.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team on various tasks and duties.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in catering or kitchen environments is an advantage.
- Basic food hygiene knowledge (Food Hygiene Certificate preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
