About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead our Technical and Design team at Anglian Home Improvements, a leading manufacturer of innovative solutions and products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and developing the Technical and Design Team to provide excellent manufacturing and product technical support across the Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the product range from design through to manufacturing, ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Prepare data for manufacturing production systems and technical guides for use across the Group.
  • Develop and maintain accurate drawing suites for existing product ranges, including product updates and new developed products.
  • Deliver technical information and prepare guides for Surveyors, Installation, and Service Engineers.
  • Ensure that legislative, regulatory, and compliance requirements are met across all products.
  • Provide advice and guidance to internal functions on technical specifications for product installation and H&S compliance.
  • Lead the design and development of new products, including management of testing and proof of performance using off-site testing facilities.
Requirements
  • Design Engineer experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • A strong background in the window and doors industry.
  • Knowledge of UPVC/Aluminium suites desirable.
  • New product development, including trends, legislation, building regulations, and compliance.
  • Project management experience.
  • IT skills, including 3D CAD and product configuration software.
  • Understanding of third-party accreditations – BSI – BBA - BFRC.
