We are currently seeking a Team Leader to join our specialist residential service, providing care and therapeutic support for children and young people aged 6-19 years with severe and profound communication difficulties.

About the Role

This role is ideal for someone who holds a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare and has shift/team leadership experience. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for promoting and maintaining a stable, happy, homely, and caring environment that prioritizes the health, safety, and welfare of our young people.

You will provide support to Care Managers by managing, motivating, and coaching a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing appropriate physical and emotional support to children and young people through the work of the care team within a residential environment and during off-site activities.
  • Helping with the induction of new team members and their continued mentoring and development towards QCF and other mandatory training.
  • Carrying out supervisions and dealing with Performance Management issues within your team.
  • Taking an active role in ensuring that activities are completed efficiently and effectively delegated, with adequate cover available at all times.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Essential)
  • Shift/team leading experience
  • Full training and continued support
