About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chef Manager to join our team at Anchor Hanover. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputise for the Chef Manager and manage all aspects of catering operations, ensuring a seamless service delivery.
  • Supervise and mentor catering assistants to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent service.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
  • Minimise waste and ensure efficient use of equipment and resources.

Requirements

  • Intermediate or level 3 food hygiene certificate with Cater Craft or similar award.
  • Health and safety legislation knowledge, including COSHH and food safety standards.
  • Proven experience in chef and people management, with a track record of delivering high-quality service.
  • Basic knowledge of dietary requirements for older people.
  • Safe use of kitchen equipment, including knives.

  • Flexible and innovative, with the ability to work as part of a team and individually.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
