Warehouse Operations Manager

Senior Team Leader Opportunity
Our client, a leading international manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join their team in Bolton. As a Senior Team Leader, you will play a key role in the success of the warehouse operations, overseeing the planning and organization of warehouse functions, and leading a team of employees to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coaching and Development: Identify and implement training programs for employees, in partnership with HR, to enhance their skills and performance.
- Warehouse Planning: Plan and organize warehouse functions to ensure timely and effective execution, including planning of manning and sawing activities.
- Operational Improvement: Support the implementation of operational and logistics policies and procedures to drive continuous improvement, including site saw strategy, material flow analysis, and transport coordination.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of employees to supervise material movement, coordinate third-party service providers, and ensure timely and efficient execution in the warehouse and external locations.
- Contractor Management: Manage external contractors via the permit to work process.
Requirements:
- Experience in SAP and hand-held scanner systems.
- Strong IT skills and ability to work with technology.
- Leadership and coaching skills to develop employees.
- Ability to plan and organize warehouse functions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
