Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join our team at Platinum Recruitment Consultancy. As an HGV Technician - Electric Vehicle Specialist, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a range of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) while also having the opportunity to be trained to Level 3 in EV technology and gain your IRTEC Licence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair a variety of HGV problems using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on HGVs.
  • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and answer questions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest HGV and EV technologies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an HGV Technician (or relevant experience).
  • Strong understanding of HGV mechanics and electrical systems.
  • Valid HGV Class 1 or 2 licence (HGV Class 1 preferred).
  • Experience working on a variety of HGV makes and models (preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Willingness to learn and be trained in EV technology.

Benefits:

  • Basic salary £50,000 OTE £60,000.
  • IRTEC License paid for by the company.
  • EV training to Level 3 funded by the company.
  • 25 days annual leave.
  • 5% company pension contribution.
  • Uncapped commission scheme.
  • Working night shifts: 9.30pm - 6.00am.
