Job Title: Construction Cost Manager

Location: In-person at Viper

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Cost Manager to join our team at Viper. As a key member of our Groundwork and Civil Engineering team, you will play a vital role in managing project costs and ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively throughout the construction lifecycle.

The successful candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide commercial support for Groundworks and Civil Engineering projects.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring adherence to cost control measures.
  • Prepare tender documents and assist in the evaluation of contractor bids.
  • Communicate with clients, client representatives, and other third parties on commercial issues.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential.
  • Demonstrable commercial experience, preferably within Civil Engineering/Groundworks.
  • Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices, financially astute.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is £55,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a competitive pension scheme, life insurance, and annual leave.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday.
