We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at one of the UK's largest veterinary retailers based in Burgess Hill.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a veterinarian who wants to work in a supportive environment with a great team of 9 experienced vets, 9 qualified nurses, and a welcoming front-of-house team. The role involves working in a recently renovated practice equipped with all the mod-cons, including digital X-ray, ultrasonography, in-house laboratory facilities, and separate wards for dogs, cats, and isolation cases.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Veterinary Medicine from a recognised university, be a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), and have previous experience as a veterinary surgeon. They will also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with clients and their pets.

The salary for this position is up to £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, and includes generous CPD/support to do a certificate or other qualification, clinical freedom, paid memberships (RCVS, VDS, BVA, ISFM), and great clients and lovely colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform surgical procedures on animals.
  • Provide medical care and treatment to animals.
  • Diagnose and treat various animal conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient treatment and diagnosis.
  • Work collaboratively with other veterinarians and staff members to achieve team goals.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine from a recognised university.
  • Membership in the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
  • Previous experience as a veterinary surgeon is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary best practices and medical regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with clients and their pets.
