Job Summary

The Barchester Healthcare team is seeking a skilled Chef to join our bank staff. As a Bank Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality cuisine to our residents while maintaining a warm and welcoming environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious and well-balanced menus that cater to the preferences of our residents.
  • Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring that high-quality dishes are produced to the highest standards.
  • Work with fresh seasonal produce to deliver wholesome and delicious meals.
  • Lead and motivate a team to achieve excellent results.
  • Manage stock control and complete regular audits to maintain a high level of quality and efficiency.

Requirements
  • Candidates should hold a City & Guilds, NVQ, or SVQ qualification (or equivalent) and have experience in helping lead and inspire a team.
  • A good understanding of nutrition and experience working with fresh seasonal food are also required.
