Cyber Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our team at SSEN Transmission. As an Operational Technology (OT) Security Test Centre, we are responsible for testing and cyber assurance of the wider Transmission OT equipment and systems.
The successful candidate will be involved in the primary functions of this facility, conducting security assessments on operational technology devices and developing robust hardening configurations and processes. They will also ensure operational technology system configurations adhere to security standards and verify vendor compliance with SSEN security protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting security assessments on operational technology devices and developing robust hardening configurations and processes.
- Ensuring operational technology system configurations adhere to security standards and verifying vendor compliance with SSEN security protocols.
- Executing project tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Actively collaborating with OT Field Engineers and broader OT teams to support research and testing for both existing and new devices and systems.
- Minimum qualification of HND in a relevant engineering or computing discipline, with a professional security management certification, preferably with an OT focus, such as Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) or equivalent credentials.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and the security characteristics and operations of Windows and Linux operating systems.
