This role is part of our Environment Practice, a vibrant network of people providing world-class consultancy and advisory services.

  • The successful candidate will contribute to driving our circular economy and waste and resources team, supporting UK and international zero waste initiatives.
  • Build capacity in circular economy and waste and resources-related service line activities.
  • Work with Engineering and Design colleagues.
  • Deliver and manage projects in line with budget, time, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and strengthen client relationships, winning new work to build team capacity.
  • Strong client focus in the UK and worldwide, bringing commercial awareness.
  • Good appreciation of trends, policies, and drivers across the circular economy, waste, and wider sustainability sectors.
  • Be flexible, adaptable, and prepared to take on new tasks and work from other Atkins or client office locations. We anticipate the need for periods of travel - including overseas.
  • Have strong report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of standards and methods in the circular economy and waste management sector.
  • Strong technical performance.
  • Flexible and prepared to take on new tasks.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A proven track record in the circular economy and waste management sector.
  • Experience of working on high-profile projects, preferably within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • An understanding of industry trends and drivers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a salary, we also offer:
