Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a talented and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver whole class cover during the absence of the class teacher or during PPA cover
  • Support the teacher in personalising the curriculum to allow the students to thrive
  • Support the teacher with planning of future lessons
  • Implement the school's policies and procedures, including safeguarding the students
  • Establish and maintain a safe and enjoyable learning environment
  • Engage students in their lessons and foster a love for learning
Requirements:
  • A strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support a diverse range of needs
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting young people
  • A Level 3 or 4 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools, Level 4 Diploma in Childcare and Education, or other relevant qualifications in nursery work or childcare
