Physiology Lecturer in Aerospace and Environmental Medicine

We are seeking an exceptional Physiology Lecturer to join our team at King's College London. As a leading research-intensive university, we pride ourselves on delivering innovative academic programmes and pioneering cutting-edge research.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week) with an indefinite contract. The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching of both undergraduates and postgraduates, as well as contributing to the innovative scientific research within the centre.
The role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with colleagues from various departments and institutions. You will have the chance to develop and deliver research projects, publish your findings in high-impact journals, and attract peer-reviewed research grant funding.
As a lecturer, you will be expected to teach and assess students across various programmes, including the MSc in Human & Applied Physiology, Diploma/MSc in Aerospace Medicine, and BSc in Sport & Exercise Medical Sciences.
Essential criteria include:
- A PhD degree in a relevant field
- Experience in human physiology, particularly in aerospace, environmental, and cardiorespiratory physiology
- A track record of publications in high-impact journals commensurate with experience
- Record of attracting peer-reviewed research grant funding commensurate with experience
- Experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable criteria include:
- Experience in supervising and developing research students and/or research staff
- Experience of programme development
- Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy or equivalent
We offer a competitive salary range £42,149 - £58,089 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including access to a pension scheme, employee assistance programme, and opportunities for professional development.
