We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Property Portfolio Manager to join our team at Macdonald & Company. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, tenant satisfaction, and value enhancement.

The Role:
  • Property Management: Manage property and tenancy, chair tenant meetings, liaise directly with tenants, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Legal Applications: Handle formal tenant legal and works applications, from interpreting lease agreements to liaising with solicitors and completing processes.
  • Sales and Acquisitions: Assist in the sale and purchase of properties, providing critical input into strategic planning.
  • Service Charges: Devise and manage service charge budgets, ensuring compliance with RICS standards.
  • Portfolio Maintenance: Conduct property inspections, oversee repairs and planned maintenance, and manage compliance projects in collaboration with other teams and suppliers.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage arrears, credit control, and expenditure approvals aligned with budgets.
  • Lease Negotiations: Support rental, leasehold, and freehold valuations and lease term negotiations.
  • Strategic Contribution: Play a key role in executing portfolio-wide strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' post-RICS qualification experience, with strong knowledge of Service Charges, commercial acumen, and ESG credentials. A salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum is on offer for this exciting opportunity.
