We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at CommScope in Malton, North Yorkshire.

This is a technical role that requires strong analytical/mathematical attitudes and a methodical approach. You will work closely with product managers, production leaders, sales, and R&D to understand customer requirements and deliver results that meet customer needs.

The key priorities of this role include:

  • Continuous improvement: identifying opportunities to enhance products or processes, and providing innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Data analysis: using statistical methods to support conclusions and decisions, and to identify areas for improvement.
  • Variation removal: identifying and eliminating sources of variation to achieve standardization and efficiency.
  • Waste reduction: identifying and eliminating waste to maximize efficiency and productivity.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in a quality department or similar position in a manufacturing environment. They will also have professional working knowledge of quality standard tools, and experience with Microsoft Office and Minitab.

The successful candidate will be able to analyze information, provide fact-based recommendations, and lead cross-functional initiatives with measurable results. They will also have strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and proactively.
