About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist in Adult Burns and Plastic Surgery, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide psychological support to patients and their families.

Main Duties
  • Provide psychological assessments and interventions to patients with acute emotional reactions, adjustment difficulties, and trauma-related issues.
  • Work with patients and their families to develop coping strategies and manage pain and anxiety.
  • Collaborate with the burns and plastic surgery teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based psychological therapies to patients with a range of clinical presentations.
  • Conduct research and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.

Person Specification
  • Completed post-graduate doctoral level DClinPsy in clinical psychology as accredited by the BPS.
  • Current HCPC registration for Clinical Psychologist (or eligibility to qualify for registration post-training).
  • Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS/HCPC.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
  • Training in the supervision of other psychological professionals.
  • Experience of working in an area of adult and/or paediatric clinical health psychology.
  • Experience of working in an acute hospital setting.
