About Us:

BDA London is a leading creative agency seeking an experienced Colour Expert to join our Trend Forecasting team.

Salary:

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Colour Expert with 3-5 years of experience in trend forecasting to lead the development of seasonal colour palettes and materials libraries. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of colour application, technical knowledge of fabrics, materials, and print and pattern applications, as well as excellent written and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop seasonal colour palettes and materials libraries for our fashion and home outputs
  • Collaborate with senior colour leads and external specialists to establish trends and develop stories across publications
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest developments within fabrics, materials, and dyes across fashion and home
  • Take ownership of the development of future publications dedicated to colour, materials, and print and pattern
  • Attend industry tradeshows to report key findings and present at webinars and events

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in trend forecasting with a focus on colour and materials
  • Excellent technical knowledge of fabrics, materials, and print and pattern applications
  • Strong understanding of colour application and theory
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently
