Job Summary
We are seeking a Clinical/Health Psychologist or Psychotherapist to join our team in a cutting-edge service with an excellent reputation within the trust.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in a service that highly values Clinical Psychology and is keen to recruit to further develop the service.
The service offers Assessment, Treatment and Mental Health Liaison to service users with Diabetes, often specifically around young adults with type 1 diabetes.
Main Duties of the Job
- Provide specialist support, guidance and consultation on clients' psychological care in relation to self-management to other multi-disciplinary professionals.
- Support the MDT and assistant psychologists to implement a range of psychological interventions for individual clients, influence team practice and work directly with a small caseload of complex clients in relation to self-management.
- Take responsibility with the Consultant Psychologist for Psychological practice within the service.
- Provide specialist Psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for groups and individuals.
- Work closely with psychology, other psychological therapy colleagues and staff from the MDT.
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the teams' policies and procedures.
