Job Summary:

STS Aviation Services is seeking a highly skilled Material Coordinator to join our team at our Manchester Hangar. As a Material Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing and controlling all stock requests, ensuring that all requests are actioned within the required time limits laid down by STS procedures and policies.

You will be responsible for managing and controlling all stock requests, checking stock levels, and organising stock transfers between STS locations. You will also be required to liaise with procurement to ensure that all purchase requests are conducted within agreed time frames.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and control all stock requests using PROMRO.
  • Take ownership of the shortage sheet and ensure that all requests are actioned within the required time limits.
  • Check stock levels and organise stock transfers between STS locations.
  • Liaise with procurement to ensure that all purchase requests are conducted within agreed time frames.
  • Ensure that the shortage sheet always has the most up-to-date information.
  • Provide detailed handover briefs between shifts.
  • Add customer information relating to stock to the shortage sheet in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide Supply Chain reporting when required.
  • Drive stock cost-saving measures at all times.
  • Liaise with other parts of STS regarding stock matters.
  • Stand in for STS Material Coordinators at other sites when required.
  • Meet with customers on a regular basis as required.
  • Represent STS to the highest standard at all times.
  • Record all customer stock requirements and ensure the shortage sheet is an accurate reflection of these.
  • Liaise with customers outside of meetings to ensure an accurate information flow is always maintained.
  • Provide detailed handover briefs on all customer supply chain.
  • Conduct stock picking activities when required.
  • Conduct return to stock activities when required.
  • Conduct general logistic duties when required.
  • Provide logistic support to base and line operations when required.
Requirements:
  • Significant demonstrable experience of logistic operations.
  • UK Full driving licence.
  • A good understanding of process development within the logistic sector.
  • A good understanding of calibration management principles and processes.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a commercial environment.
  • Leadership skills and ability to take the initiative and manage workload.
  • Knowledge of aviation logistics and its key principles.
  • Proven experience of delivering exceptional service to internal and external customers both personally and through a team.
  • Knowledge of key Microsoft business packages including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A very good understanding and experience in using PROMRO.
  • High level of verbal communication skills.
  • High level of written communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Adaptability to deal with unexpected or unique events and incidents.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical thinking to be able to identify problem roots causes.
  • Ability to constructively challenge, collaborate, and think both tactically and strategically.
  • Excellent stakeholder management.
