We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Production Operative at our client's food manufacturing site in Essex. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assisting in the production and packing of food products, operating machinery and equipment, and maintaining high standards of personal hygiene and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team in production
  • Assist in the production or packing of all food products
  • Operate machinery and equipment as required
  • Carry out cleaning duties as directed
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed
  • Comply with company hygiene policies and procedures
  • Work in a safe manner with due consideration for personal health and safety and that of co-workers

Requirements:

  • Prior knowledge or experience of operating food production machinery is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Prepared to work additional hours when required to meet customer demand
  • Shows initiative
  • Able to remain calm and focused during times of peak workload or difficult situations
  • Proactive and always striving to achieve the best from own work and the work of the team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent team member with good communication skills
  • Own transport is desirable but not essential
