Job Title: Project Engineering Lead

Job Summary:

Leonardo is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineering Lead to join our Team Tempest project within the Combat Air line of business. As a Project Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for the development of an Electronic Warfare (EW) System for a 6th generation Combat Aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage work packages and deliver an EW System solution.
  • Provide engineering management, direction, and leadership to the team.
  • Ensure the team operates consistently within company policies and procedures.
  • Track and report on engineering plans, progress, spend, risks, and metrics.
  • Develop and mentor the engineering team.
  • Utilize Agile development processes for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in engineering management and delivery of projects.
  • Experience in systems engineering and systems integration.
  • Knowledge of engineering lifecycle processes.
  • Strong leadership competencies.
  • Good schedule and budget control.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise engineering documentation.
  • Ability to provide clear direction to teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Understanding of Integration, Verification, Validation, and Qualification of electronic airborne equipment.
  • Knowledge of airborne and ground-based radar systems.
  • Knowledge of Agile development processes.
