About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Complex Care Support Worker to join our team at SNAP Care. This is a unique opportunity to work with a young adult with complex care needs and make a real difference in their life.

About Winnie

Winnie is a 17-year-old young adult with Cerebral Palsy (GMFCS Level 5), scoliosis, Dystonia, and other complex care needs. She requires 2:1 support, 24/7, to meet all her health, care, and medical needs. Winnie is a wheelchair user and communicates using switches.

About the Job

This role involves working days, waking nights, and weekends to provide 2:1 support to Winnie. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with Winnie's family, therapy team, and other healthcare professionals to ensure Winnie is thriving and given every opportunity to learn and live life to the full.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 2:1 support to Winnie, 24/7, to meet all her health, care, and medical needs.
  • Work in collaboration with Winnie's family, therapy team, and other healthcare professionals to ensure Winnie's needs are met.
  • Assist and support Winnie with all areas of ADLs, health, care, and medical needs.
  • Promote independence and explore new hobbies and interests with Winnie.
  • Travel with Winnie on holidays and outings, as desired.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting children or young adults with complex care and medical needs.
  • Confident in all aspects of manual handling.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Confident driver (WAV) and non-smoker/vaper.
