Pertemps Reading: Yard Operative Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and organized Yard Operative to join our team at a leading scrap metal recycler in Aldershot.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the ELV yard
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure a safe working environment
  • Assist in de-pollution activities, including unloading and storing vehicles
  • Liaise with customers, drivers, and contractors
  • Operate a Forklift Truck to unload and store vehicles
  • Record vehicle details accurately throughout de-pollution activities
  • Remove tyres, wheels, and batteries prior to de-pollution
  • Maintain the de-pollution rig according to the maintenance schedule
Requirements:
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable
  • Integrity and confidentiality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
Qualifications:
  • Fully qualified driver's license
  • Previous experience in heavy industry
  • FLT license an advantage
  • MSH license an advantage
