This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of QBE Insurance Group as a Renewable Energy Underwriting Specialist.

The role involves working closely with the team to ensure that all underwriting activities are conducted in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for performing research and project work to support the planning process, as well as applying the reinsurance programme to minimize unknown risks.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of market dynamics and market cycles. You will also need to possess good technical and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data and identify trends. Additionally, you should have commercial acumen, enabling you to understand key profit drivers and maximize long-term wealth for our shareholders.

In terms of qualifications, we are looking for candidates with previous experience in an Underwriting support role within the renewable energy and Power product line. You should have an intermediate level understanding of relevant software, including Excel and other departmental software packages. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are also essential. Our ideal candidate will be able to adapt quickly to new situations and demonstrate resilience in challenging circumstances.
