About the Role
As a Procurement Category Manager at RM, you will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies to deliver business value. Your focus will be on managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive supplier performance.
- Provision of procurement services to support commercial delivery of the business.
- Responsible for stock management, forecasting, and continuity of supply.
- Establish and monitor clear communication plans for suppliers.
- Line management, training, and mentoring junior staff.
- Suggest and implement improvements to enhance team efficiency and performance.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience of building and managing relationships externally with suppliers and internally with stakeholders.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills and flexible approach to workload demands.
- Excellent PC skills to include Microsoft Office.
