About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate LKS2 Teacher to join our vibrant and exceptional two-form entry school in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. As a LKS2 Teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses
  • Further develop maths ability and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry
  • Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories
  • Keep track of children's progress and occasionally report back to parents
  • Create a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning
  • Collaborate with school management, teaching staff, and parents to provide quality academic support for LKS2 students

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Education, or related field
  • Teaching qualification and QTS
  • At least 2 years of experience in teaching LKS2 students
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Passion for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality education
  • Ability to create and present engaging and interactive lesson plans
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff
