As a skilled Accountant/Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our company, Page Personnel Sales. Your duties will include:
Daily Duties:- Monitoring customer payments and advising management and sales teams to ensure timely order processing and receipt posting on Sage 50.
- Tracking USD and EUR exchange rates and providing updates through our morning email.
- Entering proforma payments into the banking system.
- Responding to all accounts-related queries.
- Performing weekly bank reconciliations and posting Direct Debits.
- Executing BACS payment runs, ensuring suppliers with settlement discounts are deducted and sending remittances.
- Monitoring outstanding debtor balances.
- Conducting stock reconciliations and journal entries.
- Reconciling petty cash and posting transactions.
- Verifying receipt of sales invoices from the Shipping Department and investigating missing invoices.
- Updating sales commissions spreadsheets and ensuring accurate payroll processing.
- Ensuring timely receipt of Quarterly Supplier Commission Credit Notes.
- Preparing year-end reports, including reconciling physical stock with accounts stock, revaluing currency accounts, and performing bad debt provisions.
- Archiving previous year accounts for storage.
- Submitting year-end accounts to our auditors for review and journaling the Corporation Tax figure.
- Utilizing Excel and systems skills to perform financial tasks.
- Requiring accountancy qualifications.
