Eaton Syalon is partnering with a thriving owner-managed accountancy practice to find an experienced Bookkeeper to support their continued growth. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a portfolio of small business clients, utilizing your expertise in Xero and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of sole traders and small business clients.
- Process sales and purchase invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and prepare VAT returns.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts.
- Liaise with clients to provide support on financial queries.
- Prepare and submit self-assessment tax returns for sole traders.
- Support with year-end accounts and liaising with accountants.
About the Role:
This is a part-time position (20-25 hours) with a competitive salary of £25-30k (full-time equivalent). Our client offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to work independently while maintaining strong relationships with clients. If you're a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with a passion for accounting, we encourage you to apply.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you'll need proven experience in bookkeeping within an accountancy firm setting and proficiency in Xero (or similar). You should enjoy working autonomously and have excellent attention to detail, as well as the ability to build strong working relationships with clients.
