Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Application Scientist to join our team at Sensient Technologies Corporation. As a key member of our flavor development team, you will play a crucial role in creating innovative and high-quality market-ready products that showcase our unique and innovative flavors and extracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and create new sweet products that meet customer, technical, regulatory, and commercial requirements.
  • Responsible for daily flavor and color selections that meet customer, technical, regulatory, and commercial requirements.
  • Work with sales and marketing departments to stay ahead of the latest food trends and creatively apply these trends into application products.
  • Contribute to the local, regional, and global product flavor libraries, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide support to European Account Managers for technical customer presentations, including some European travel.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment, in accordance with our health and safety policies.
Requirements
  • BSc in Food Science or a similar scientific remit.
  • Competence in the scope of flavors, colors, ingredients, manufacturing processes, and regulations of the bakery, dairy, confectionery, and beverage industries.
  • Practical lab and culinary skills to make food products.
  • Creative flair to develop new ideas for products for customer presentations.
  • The ability to communicate with people of all levels, both written and verbally, and attention to detail.
  • Experience in a food applications lab, preferably focused on sweet market categories.
  • Strong project management skills.
