About Us:
We are a top-tier fabrication and welding services provider based in Weston-Super-Mare, BS24.
Job Description:
We seek a highly skilled Fabricator/Welder to contribute to our production processes and ensure precision and excellence in client specifications.
Fabrication Section:
- Operate overhead cranes and apply safe slinging and lifting techniques for fabrications.
- Work according to SAM quality procedures.
- Assist in training and developing SAM apprentices.
Welding Section:
- Perform welding on steel of varying grades and thicknesses with marked-up weld details.
- Execute fillet welding and butt welding with both full and partial penetration joints.
- Conduct welding in down-hand and positional configurations, predominantly using the MAG welding process.
- Adhere to governing welding procedure specifications.
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of welding operations, including preheat application, interpass temperature control, etc.
Requirements:
- Completion of a formal Sheetmetal/Fabrication apprenticeship.
- Experience in MIG welding.
- Able to work to SAM quality procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently when not under direct supervision.
