We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect and Technologist to join our team at Search 5.0. As a Cloud Architect and Technologist, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of cutting-edge IoT products and driving impactful decisions that directly influence the product's success.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the development of innovative features that push the boundaries of technology. You will have the freedom to define and refine the development strategy, lifecycle, and product roadmap.

We offer a competitive salary range of £70,000-£80,000 depending on your level of experience. You will also have the chance to work with Java at an enterprise level and receive paid certifications.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing the overall structure and conceptual design of the product, defining its organization, components, and interactions.
  • Making key decisions on the technology stack, platform, and system-wide design principles, aligning the architecture with current and future business requirements.
  • Working closely with product, systems, software, and hardware engineering teams to provide a comprehensive end-to-end product architecture.
  • Collaborating with lower-level system engineers to finalize architecture details and ensure seamless integration with partner products in research-driven projects.
  • Monitoring technological trends, advising on future shifts, and positioning the product architecture to remain innovative and competitive.

You will need to have:

  • Proficiency in AWS cloud architecture patterns and IoT architectures and protocols.
  • Experience with secure communication protocols and RESTful APIs/web services.
  • A strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, MQTT, and other essential networking protocols for connected devices.
  • Skill in programming languages like C, Java, or Rust, with experience in Unix/Linux systems.
