We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Specialist Learning Support Assistant, providing tailored support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
About the RoleThis is a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future. As a Specialist Learning Support Assistant, you will be working closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Providing one-to-one and group support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to reach their full potential.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of personalized learning plans, tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Fostering a positive and safe learning environment, promoting social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behavior.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake rigorous safeguarding checks on all workers, including online searches and enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
Requirements- A background in education or relevant experience, with a passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- An understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support students, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
In addition to a competitive salary, we offer all our registered candidates free child protection and prevent duty training. Our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children ensures that you can work with confidence and peace of mind.
We estimate the salary for this role to be around £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
