Preston, Lancashire, United Kingdom University of Central Lancashire Full time

The University of Central Lancashire is a diverse and multicultural institution, committed to building an inclusive culture where diversity is championed. To further this goal, we are recruiting for a Trusts and Foundations Manager to develop high-quality funding proposals, manage strategic relationships with trusts and foundations, and secure major gifts from regional, national, and international philanthropic funders.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for career development and represents a key element in our ambitious fundraising aspirations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative strategies to achieve significant income growth, working closely with various departments to resolve fundraising challenges.

We seek an experienced professional who can make a flying start in this underdeveloped area. Ideally, the ideal candidate will be a natural problem solver with excellent lateral thinking skills, able to work collaboratively across departments to drive forward fundraising initiatives.

Applicants must have a degree or equivalent work experience, as well as proven experience in securing significant income from trusts and foundations, preferably within higher education, research, or the non-profit sector. We welcome applications from individuals who will support the diversification of our university community and contribute to the development of a truly inclusive culture.

The University is committed to providing a safe environment for study, work, and visitation, protecting children, young people, and adults at risk from harm and abuse. Our safeguarding policy and safer recruitment procedure outline our approach, along with other internal policies and procedures available on our website.

Applicants applying for roles in regulated activity may be required to disclose any spent or unspent convictions and undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check, if applicable.

Estimated salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. This figure is based on industry standards for similar roles in the UK and takes into account the cost of living in the region.
