About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Salisbury. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students with Autism (ASC) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with their academic and personal needs, working closely with the class teacher and other support staff.
  • Assist with the delivery of termly topics, working with small groups of students and providing individual support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans, ensuring students receive tailored support to meet their needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions, staying up-to-date with best practices and policies related to SEN.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or adults with SEN, or a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting students' academic and personal growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
