About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Receptionist/Administrator at St Luke's Surgery. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for delivering a friendly, efficient service and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all patients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Answering telephone calls and dealing with face-to-face enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Managing appointments, bookings, and cancellations in line with our policies and procedures.
  • Providing excellent patient service, ensuring patient satisfaction and safety at all times.
  • Dealing with all enquiries in a timely and efficient manner, both in person and over the phone.
  • Updating our computer system with appointments and personal details, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintaining a clean and professional reception area, ensuring a positive first impression for our patients.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks, including typing, document scanning, and data entry.
  • Working collaboratively with our team to ensure seamless delivery of services.

About Us

St Luke's Surgery is a well-established inner-city practice with a patient list size of approximately 5000. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality care and a welcoming environment for all our patients.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Good IT and keyboard skills, with experience of computerised recording systems.
  • GCSE English (or equivalent), Grade C or above.
